This SPH Engineering practical exam confirms your knowledge and experience in collecting, processing and interpreting data with SPH-supplied drone survey systems. Pass it to earn an SPH certificate. HobiTech coordinates enrolment in India.
How it works
- After successful payment, the exam is unlocked for your account in the Academy of SPH Engineering platform.
- Once enrolled, you can complete it at your own pace.
- After successfully passing, you receive a certificate from SPH Engineering that can be shared on LinkedIn.
What does the practical exam involve?
The exam confirms practical knowledge and experience in data collection, processing and interpretation using systems supplied by SPH Engineering. According to SPH Engineering, the examinee completes a real survey with one of its integrated systems, for example with a ground-penetrating radar (GPR), magnetometer, echo sounder or methane detector. The examinee then submits 5 sets of material:
- The UgCS flight plan.
- The flight telemetry.
- Raw sensor data together with the SkyHub logs.
- Processed data, with the processing steps explained.
- The interpretation of the data, or a report.
An SPH Engineering trainer evaluates the submitted files and data. The trainer either gives feedback or asks for a resubmission. The exam includes a Zoom session of up to 1 hour to discuss the results, and up to 2 iterations are included.

What do you receive when you pass?

What do you need to take the exam?
You need access to an SPH Engineering integrated system to fly the survey, and the software to plan, log and process it. HobiTech supplies these in India:
