Magnetometer Software

Software for turning drone magnetometer data into something you can act on. SENSYS MAGNETO processes surveys flown with the MagDrone R1, R3 and R4 and calculates the position and size of buried objects, which is what makes it the usual choice for unexploded ordnance work. Seequent Oasis montaj is the broader geophysics package — filtering, gridding and modelling across magnetic and other survey data, and the standard tool in mineral exploration.

In India it is used by mineral exploration and mining teams, geologists, UXO specialists and researchers flying drone magnetometers.

How to choose magnetometer software

  • In flight: the SkyHub software package for SENSYS MagDrone or the package for MagNIMBUS lets SkyHub log magnetometer data. 1-year support packages keep SPH Engineering support and updates going after the first year.
  • Object detection: SENSYS MAGNETO for MagDrone surveys where you need object position and size.
  • Exploration and modelling: Seequent Oasis montaj handles gravity, magnetic, electromagnetic, resistivity and radiometric data on a 12-month named or shared licence.
  • Quick field checks: GeoHammer reads magnetometer CSV data; the free version suits in-field assessment and Pro adds GeoTIFF and KML export.

Frequently asked questions

Which software do I need for a SENSYS MagDrone?

The SkyHub package for SENSYS MagDrone if you log through SkyHub, then MAGNETO or Oasis montaj to process the survey.

Which software suits MagNIMBUS?

The SkyHub package for MagNIMBUS in flight, then GeoHammer or Oasis montaj for processing.

What does the software cost?

All licences are priced on request; the free GeoHammer version costs nothing. We send a quote with a GST invoice.

Is training available?

Yes. SPH Engineering's magnetic data processing course and practical exam, priced on request; see magnetometer training.
