What is the MSB-303 mounting plate used for?

The MSB-303 holds a Medusa MS series detector under a drone. Part A fixes to the drone and carries carbon-fibre rods set in rubber dampers. Part B bolts to the detector end caps. The detector slides onto the rods until it clicks, and thumb screws lock it in place. The same steps in reverse take it off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Medusa detectors fit the MSB-303?

The MS-100, MS-350, MS-700 and MS-1000. Part B (the sensor plate) differs slightly in weight for each detector.

Can I use it on a drone other than DJI?

Yes, with mechanical adaptation. Medusa says Part A can go on any drone that can carry the payload and offers a suitable mounting interface. Check the final design with the drone manufacturer.

Why will my drone not take off with the detector fitted?

Medusa advises disabling the drone's downward-facing sensors before take-off. Otherwise the drone may refuse to fly. You do this from the camera view on the remote controller.

How is the detector powered on the drone?

From the drone, at 5–35 V, using the MDC-512 cable on the M300/M350, the MDC-512b on the M400, or a custom lead from the MDC-513.

How do I buy the Medusa MSB-303 mounting plate in India?
