The DJI Matrice 350 RTK is DJI's enterprise drone platform for interchangeable payloads, with built-in RTK positioning. DJI rates it at up to 55 minutes of flight, a 2.7 kg maximum payload, IP55 protection, six-directional sensing and positioning, a night-vision FPV camera and DJI O3 Enterprise transmission at up to 20 km (FCC). It supports the Zenmuse H30 series, H20 series, L2, L1, P1, S1 and V1, plus certified third-party payloads. HobiTech's price is for the standard package: the aircraft, the DJI RC Plus controller and a carrying case. TB65 flight batteries, the charging station and payloads are sold separately. Is it legal to fly in India?
Yes, with the right paperwork. At about 6.47 kg with two batteries (per DJI), the Matrice 350 RTK is a small drone (more than 2 kg, up to 25 kg) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:
- You must register it on the DGCA eGCA portal and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying.
- The pilot needs a Remote Pilot Certificate for a drone in this class.
- Third-party insurance is required.
- Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.

Field tips for the Matrice 350 RTK
HobiTech's tips for enterprise teams (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual and your operating procedures):
- Budget for batteries and charging. The standard package has no TB65 batteries or battery station, and each flight uses two batteries.
- Check payload weight. Stay within 2.7 kg in total and 960 g per single gimbal damper.
- Pick propellers for altitude. DJI rates 5,000 m with 2110s propellers and 7,000 m with 2112 high-altitude propellers.
- Get an RTK fix before take-off. Use network RTK or a base station for centimetre-level positioning.
- Fit the port covers. Use the rubber port covers on unused ports to help protect the IP55-rated aircraft.
- Update firmware at base. Update the aircraft, DJI RC Plus and payloads before you deploy.
- Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance at 12 m/s.
- Arrange permissions early. Get the UIN, the pilot's Remote Pilot Certificate and insurance in place before operations.
- Keep obstacle sensing on near structures. Thin wires are still hard to detect, so keep safe distances and the drone in sight.
- Track battery cycles. DJI rates the TB65 at 400 cycles, so log battery use across your fleet.
