What does the Hydromagic support renewal include?
The renewal extends your Hydromagic Survey maintenance by 12 months. SPH Engineering describes it as giving access to any technical enquiries as well as access to new versions. Eye4Software's own maintenance agreement sets out the detail:
- Support: questions are answered by e-mail in English, with a response within 2 business days.
- New versions: each new version of the software that Eye4Software releases is made available to customers with active maintenance.
- Version support: all versions are supported for at least 24 months from purchase or from the release of a new version.
- Late renewal: a renewal received after maintenance has expired is backdated to start from the old expiry date.
Eye4Software's agreement covers maintenance periods of 12, 24 or 36 months. This product is the 1-year renewal.
Who needs it?
Any team that already owns a Hydromagic Survey licence and wants to keep receiving updates and help. That includes drone bathymetry teams that log echo sounder data with SPH Engineering's SkyHub and process it in Hydromagic. HobiTech also supplies the echo sounders used in these systems: an EchoLogger ECT 400S, a dual-frequency ECT D24S or a chemical-resistant ETF 400S.
Hydromagic itself maps depth areas from echo sounder and GNSS data, and supports almost any NMEA 0183 compatible GPS or RTK receiver. The licence is computer-bound to a maximum of 2 computers, and the renewal applies to that same licence.
