The SkyHub core software package is a software licence for SPH Engineering's SkyHub on-board computer. It is for survey teams that fly sensors on DJI or Pixhawk-based drones with SkyHub. HobiTech supplies it in India as an Official Partner of SPH Engineering.

What is the SkyHub core software package used for?
SkyHub is SPH Engineering's on-board computer for sensor drones. Since firmware v4.1.0, SkyHub functions need a licence, and existing customers request a licence file from SPH Engineering or a reseller.
The SkyHub user manual lists these SkyHub functions:
- Logging data from sensors that have no logger of their own, in CSV and in formats such as SEG-Y and NMEA-0183.
- Geotagging sensor data with the drone's position.
- Sending an NMEA coordinate stream to sensors that need an external GPS.
- True Terrain Following and Grasshopper mode on DJI drones.
- Support for an external obstacle detector.
SPH Engineering does not publish a separate feature list for the core package. Some of these functions are sold as their own packages, such as True Terrain Following. We confirm what your system needs before you order.

Do I need a licence file for SkyHub?
Yes. From SkyHub firmware v4.1.0, SkyHub functions need a licence. The licence file is named after your SkyHub serial number (License-******.lic) and is uploaded in UgCS-CPM under Tools > License management, over an Auxiliary connection.
Does it include SkyHub hardware?
No. This is a software package. The SkyHub on-board computer is listed separately.
Which drones does SkyHub work with?
The SkyHub user manual lists the DJI M400, M350 RTK and M300 RTK, and Cube / Pixhawk drones running PX4 or ArduCopter. With PX4, SkyHub works only as a data logger; True Terrain Following and Grasshopper mode are not supported.
