SENSYS MAGNETO® is data processing software for magnetic surveys flown with SENSYS MagDrone R1, R3 and R4 magnetometers. It calculates the position and size of objects such as UXO. HobiTech supplies it in India.
MAGNETO® allows the calculation of the position and size of suspicious objects such as UXO (unexploded ordnance) from the collected magnetic survey data.
Details
- Vendor: SENSYS
- SKU: IS-SENSYS-MAGNETO
- Compatible with: SENSYS MagDrone R1, R3, R4
What is SENSYS MAGNETO® used for?
SENSYS describes MAGNETO® as software for the comprehensive analysis and interpretation of data from magnetic and electromagnetic area and borehole surveys. For drone work, SPH Engineering supplies it for data from the SENSYS MagDrone range. Main functions listed by SENSYS:
- Target calculation: works out the position and size of suspicious objects, such as UXO.
- Maps and tracks: colour-coded map displays and survey track visualisation.
- Multiple surveys: link several data sets from several surveys in one workspace.
- Flexible layout: arrange maps, survey lines, text, objects, pictures and frames freely.
- Reporting: an integrated text editor for reports and documentation.
SENSYS lists these application areas: UXO search, archaeology, geophysics and geology, offshore work, and special applications such as surveying contaminated sites.
SENSYS offers MAGNETO® as desktop software, and also as mobile applications on ruggedised PDAs that show measurement data and survey tracks directly in the field. The MagDrone R1, R3 and R4 carry 1, 2 or 5 triaxial fluxgate sensors, and MAGNETO® handles the survey data from each model. For UXO work, the main output is the calculated position and size of each suspicious object in the survey area.
Which MagDrone magnetometers does it support?
| Magnetometer | Sensors (SPH Engineering) |
|---|---|
| MagDrone R1 | 1 triaxial fluxgate sensor on a foldable arm for very low sensor-ground clearance |
| MagDrone R3 | 2 triaxial fluxgate sensors at the ends of a 1 m horizontal bar |
| MagDrone R4 | 5 triaxial fluxgate sensors along a 2 m horizontal bar |
How does MAGNETO® fit a drone magnetometer survey?
In SPH Engineering's drone magnetometer system, the SkyHub onboard computer acts as the data logger and runs True Terrain Following, a laser or radar altimeter keeps the drone at a constant height, and UgCS plans the flight with functions made for magnetometer surveys. MAGNETO® is the processing step after the flight. A typical HobiTech setup includes:
- A MagDrone magnetometer (R1, R3 or R4)
- SkyHub True Terrain Following package with an altimeter
- A UgCS licence, such as UgCS EXPERT
- MAGNETO®, or another option from our magnetometer software range such as GeoHammer Pro or Seequent Oasis montaj
See all sensors in our magnetometers collection, or read SPH Engineering's magnetometer technology page.
Why buy SENSYS MAGNETO® from HobiTech?
HobiTech is an authorised SPH Engineering partner based in Bengaluru, India. Every order comes with a GST invoice, and our local team supports the sensor, the drone and the software. SPH training is available through our magnetometer training courses.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does SENSYS MAGNETO® do?
It analyses and interprets magnetic survey data and calculates the position and size of suspicious objects such as UXO.
Which magnetometers is MAGNETO® compatible with?
SPH Engineering lists the SENSYS MagDrone R1, R3 and R4.
Can I combine several surveys in one project?
Yes. SENSYS states MAGNETO® can link multiple data sets from multiple surveys in one workspace.
Is MAGNETO® only for UXO work?
No. SENSYS also lists archaeology, geophysics and geology, offshore work and contaminated-site surveys.
What else do I need for a drone magnetometer survey?
A MagDrone sensor, SkyHub with True Terrain Following and an altimeter, a UgCS licence and a supported DJI drone. HobiTech can quote the full system.
