What is the Laser Falcon data cable used for?
The Laser Falcon sends its measurement data through a communication port. In SPH Engineering's methane detection bundle, SkyHub logs these readings with the drone's coordinates and passes them to the ground in real time. This cable carries the data between the detector and SkyHub.
What it works with
- Detector: the Pergam Laser Falcon methane detector. It detects methane at up to 100 m and measures once per second.
- Onboard computer: SkyHub, which logs Laser Falcon readings in geotagged CSV and LOG form.
- Software: the SkyHub software package for Methane detector, which supports the Laser Falcon, plus UgCS to stream readings to your laptop in real time.
- Mounting: Laser Falcon mountings for DJI drones.
