Pune Airport at Lohegaon shares its runway with an Indian Air Force station, so the north-east of the city sits inside its airport zones. Look up your exact spot on the Digital Sky airspace map before every flight.

Defence areas around the cantonments add more restricted pockets inside the city. In a green zone you can fly up to 400 ft without permission. Near an operational airport the limit drops to 200 ft between 8 and 12 km from the perimeter, and between 5 and 8 km you need permission from air traffic control; red zones need central government permission.
