The UgCS licence upgrade moves an existing UgCS perpetual licence up a tier (PRO to EXPERT, PRO to ENTERPRISE, or EXPERT to ENTERPRISE) without buying a new licence from scratch. HobiTech supplies UgCS licence upgrades in India.
An upgrade makes sense when the work changes, for example when a team that started with camera surveys takes on LiDAR jobs and needs the LiDAR tools, or when one pilot becomes a team that needs shared missions and live video. Choose the path that matches the perpetual licence you hold today.

What does each edition add?
- UgCS EXPERT: Smart AGL terrain following, the LiDAR tool with IMU calibration, digital surface models (DSM), Large Projects and trajectory smoothing.
- UgCS ENTERPRISE: up to 10 simultaneous drone connections; a centralised UgCS server, locally or in the cloud, with VPN connection for field pilots; live video streaming from UgCS for DJI to the UgCS Video Player on the desktop; local video recording with embedded geolocation, timestamp and vehicle ID; RTSP streaming to third-party video management systems; multiple SDK connections; and ADS-B transponder support.
Both include everything in UgCS PRO: terrain following, circlegrammetry, corridor and vertical inspection planning, KML/CSV route import, KML export, custom map and DEM import, and offline caching.
What happens to support and updates?
SPH Engineering states that an upgrade also renews your annual support and update period. After that year, renew with an Annual Support & Update pack to keep getting support and the latest releases. Upgrades apply to perpetual licences. If you are on a monthly or yearly subscription, contact HobiTech to discuss your options.
No reinstallation is needed for the ENTERPRISE paths: deactivate and reactivate UgCS to unlock the new features. For the PRO to EXPERT path, SPH Engineering emails a new EXPERT licence code after purchase.
All UgCS editions share the same system requirements: Windows 7 SP1 or later / Windows 8 / Windows 10 (64-bit), macOS 10.9 or later (64-bit) or Ubuntu 18.04 (64-bit); a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2; 4 GB RAM recommended; DirectX 9 (shader model 2.0); 2 GB free disk space; and a 1024 × 768 screen.
What else might you need?
To use the upgraded perpetual licence on a second computer, add an additional device licence for the new tier. For in-field map stitching see UgCS Mapper, and for flying many drones on synchronised routes see UgCS Commander. Not for the ENTERPRISE paths: SPH Engineering says no reinstallation is needed, only deactivation and reactivation. For PRO to EXPERT, activate UgCS with the new EXPERT code you receive by email.
