DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo or DJI Lito 1 Fly More Combo?
Both combos come with three batteries, a charging hub, a shoulder bag and the DJI RC-N3, and both drones share up to 36 minutes of flight per battery, wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s and 5-lux omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Compared with the DJI Lito 1 Fly More Combo, the Lito X1 adds:
- A larger 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensor with a brighter f/1.7 aperture (the Lito 1 has a 1/2-inch sensor at f/1.8).
- HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range.
- Forward-facing LiDAR on top of the omnidirectional sensing.
- 42 GB of internal storage. The Lito 1 has none and needs a microSD card.
The DJI Lito 1 Fly More Combo is ₹63,990 plus GST. This DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo is ₹71,990 plus GST. If image quality and low-light flying matter most, choose the Lito X1. If you want the lowest price for a three-battery kit, the Lito 1 combo is enough.
Who the Lito X1 Fly More Combo is for
- First-time pilots who want obstacle sensing in every direction, with LiDAR at the front
- Travellers who want three batteries, a hub and a bag in one kit, and no memory cards to carry
- Creators who want a larger sensor, HDR video and 10-bit D-Log M for colour grading
- Social media creators who want vertical video and tracking modes
- Anyone who wants to fly in India without a Remote Pilot Certificate
Choose something else if one battery is enough for how you fly (the DJI Lito X1 standard kit), you want a screen on the controller (the DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2)), or you want to save money with a smaller sensor (the DJI Lito 1 Fly More Combo).
Is it legal to fly in India?
Yes. At under 249 g with the standard battery (per DJI), the DJI Lito X1 is a nano drone (250 g or less) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:
- No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed to fly a nano drone (Rule 36).
- You must register it on the DGCA eGCA portal and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying (Rule 14).
- Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.
This combo uses the standard batteries. If you later buy the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, DJI notes the drone then weighs more than 249 g, so check its category under the Drone Rules before flying with it.
Flying tips for the DJI Lito X1
HobiTech's tips for your first flights (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual):
- Charge all three the night before. Put the batteries in the Charging Hub so every battery is full when you head out.
- Rotate your batteries. Use all three in turn rather than always flying the same one first, so they wear evenly.
- Check storage before a long shoot. The Lito X1 has 42 GB built in, so check the free space in DJI Fly before you head out, especially if you plan to shoot 4K/100fps.
- Update and calibrate in DJI Fly. Update the drone and controller firmware at home, and calibrate the compass if the app asks.
- Wait for a strong GPS signal. Check the signal in DJI Fly before take-off, so Return to Home knows where to come back to.
- Keep obstacle sensing on, but do not rely on it. DJI rates it down to 5 lux, and the forward-facing LiDAR helps in low light, but at dusk still fly slowly and keep the drone in sight.
- Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s. On gusty days, stay low and close, and land early.
- Register before you fly. Get the UIN on DGCA's eGCA portal before your first outdoor flight, and check the airspace map every time you fly somewhere new.
- Land with charge to spare. Plan to be back and landed well before the battery runs low. Return to Home needs power to fly back, especially into a headwind.
- Check the propellers every time. Replace any propeller that is chipped, bent or cracked. Three spare pairs come in the box.
- Let batteries cool before charging. After a flight, wait until the battery is no longer warm before you put it in the hub, and avoid leaving batteries in a hot car.
