Despite progress in sensors that assess water contamination and turbidity in-situ, laboratory water sampling will stay widespread for the foreseeable future. Traditional methods require direct access to the water body — sampling at distance from the bank without a boat or ship is otherwise impossible.
A remote sampling system fully integrated with a UAV solves this, enabling water sampling at long distances from shore, at locations that are difficult, dangerous or otherwise inaccessible.
