The DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2) is the DJI Mini 4 Pro camera drone with the DJI RC 2 remote controller and its own built-in screen, three Intelligent Flight Batteries, a Two-Way Charging Hub and a shoulder bag. The Mini 4 Pro weighs under 249 g with the standard battery, per DJI, so in India it is a nano drone. It has a 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensor, 4K/60fps HDR video, 4K/100fps slow motion, true vertical shooting, 10-bit D-Log M and HLG, omnidirectional obstacle sensing and DJI O4 video transmission rated up to 20 km. Sold by HobiTech, a genuine DJI dealer in Bengaluru, with a GST invoice and HobiTech's own 1-year warranty on the drone.

Key features

  • Under 249 g: with the standard Intelligent Flight Battery, per DJI, so it sits in India's nano class.
  • Up to 34 minutes per battery: three batteries in the box, so up to about 102 minutes of flying per outing, per DJI's rating.
  • DJI RC 2 with a built-in screen: a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 FHD screen with 700 nits brightness, per DJI, so you do not need your phone to fly.
  • 48 MP camera: a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor at f/1.7, with 48 MP photos (8064×6048) in JPEG or RAW (DNG).
  • 4K/60fps HDR and true vertical shooting: plus 4K/100fps slow motion, and the gimbal rotates for native vertical video.
  • 10-bit D-Log M and HLG: DJI says up to one billion colours, for more room to grade your footage.
  • Omnidirectional obstacle sensing: binocular vision sensors in every direction, plus a 3D infrared sensor underneath.
  • DJI O4 transmission: 1080p/60fps live view, rated up to 20 km (FCC, unobstructed and free of interference).

HobiTech price (+ GST) ₹94,990 ₹1,12,990

Figures per DJI; prices from HobiTech. DJI puts the Battery Plus at about 121 g against about 77.9 g for the standard battery, which takes the drone over India's 250 g nano limit, so with the Plus kit treat it as a micro drone (see below). Choose this kit if you want to stay in the nano class; choose the Plus if the extra 11 minutes per flight matters more.

Who the Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo is for

  • Travel and landscape shooters who want a small, nano-class drone with a serious camera
  • Creators who post vertical video and want true vertical shooting without cropping
  • Anyone who wants to grade their footage, with 10-bit D-Log M and HLG
  • Pilots who want obstacle sensing in every direction and a controller with its own screen

Choose something else if you want a 1-inch sensor (the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo), lots of built-in storage and LiDAR for less (the DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2)), or a lower budget (the DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo).

Is it legal to fly in India?

Yes. At under 249 g with the standard battery (per DJI), the DJI Mini 4 Pro is a nano drone (250 g or less) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:

  • No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed to fly a nano drone (Rule 36).
  • You must register it on the DGCA Digital Sky platform and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying (Rule 14).
  • Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.

This combo uses the standard batteries. If you later fit an Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, the drone weighs more than 249 g (per DJI) and counts as a micro drone: registration and a UIN are still required, third-party insurance is required, and a Remote Pilot Certificate is needed for commercial work but not for non-commercial flying. Rules can change, so check Digital Sky before you fly.

Flying tips for the DJI Mini 4 Pro

HobiTech's tips for your first flights (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual):

  • Charge all three the night before. Put the batteries in the Two-Way Charging Hub and charge the DJI RC 2 too, so everything is full when you head out.
  • Put in a fast microSD card. The 2 GB built in fills quickly at 4K. DJI lists recommended V30 cards; format the card in the drone before your first shoot.
  • Rotate your batteries. Use all three in turn rather than always flying the same one first, so they wear evenly.
  • Update and calibrate in DJI Fly. Update the drone and controller firmware at home, and calibrate the compass if the app asks.
  • Wait for a strong GPS signal. Check the signal in DJI Fly before take-off, so Return to Home knows where to come back to.
  • Keep obstacle sensing on, but do not rely on it. The vision sensors need texture and light, so at dusk, over water or near thin branches and wires, fly slowly and keep the drone in sight.
  • Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s. On gusty days, stay low and close, and land early.
  • Register before you fly. Get the UIN on Digital Sky before your first outdoor flight, and check the airspace map every time you fly somewhere new.
  • Land with charge to spare. Plan to be back and landed well before the battery runs low. Return to Home needs power to fly back, especially into a headwind.
  • Check the propellers every time. Replace any propeller that is chipped, bent or cracked. Three spare pairs come in the box.
  • Let batteries cool before charging. After a flight, wait until the battery is no longer warm before you put it in the hub, and avoid leaving batteries in a hot car.
