Who the Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo is for

  • Professional photographers who want a 100 MP 4/3 Hasselblad camera and three focal lengths
  • Filmmakers who want 6K/60fps HDR, 10-bit D-Log and the Infinity Gimbal's rotating shots
  • Creators who shoot at dawn, dusk and night, with 0.1-lux obstacle sensing
  • Pilots who want 51-minute flights and a complete kit with three batteries and fast charging

Choose something else if you want a lighter, lower-cost travel drone (the DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo) or the smallest drone with a 1-inch sensor (the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo).

Is it legal to fly in India?

Yes, with the right paperwork. At about 1,063 g (per DJI), the DJI Mavic 4 Pro is a micro drone (more than 250 g, up to 2 kg) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:

  • You must register it on the DGCA Digital Sky platform and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying.
  • No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed for non-commercial use of a micro drone. For commercial work, you need one.
  • Third-party insurance is required for drones heavier than the nano class.
  • Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.

Rules can change, so check Digital Sky before you fly.

Flying tips for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro

HobiTech's tips for your first flights (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual):

  • Charge everything the night before. Put the three batteries in the Parallel Charging Hub and charge the DJI RC 2 too.
  • Carry a fast microSD card. 6K and 10-bit footage fill the 64 GB built-in storage quickly on a full shoot day.
  • Try all three cameras. The 70 mm and 168 mm tele cameras compress backgrounds and let you film subjects from a safer distance.
  • Practise Infinity Gimbal moves up high. Rotating and upward-tilt shots are easiest to learn with plenty of clear space around the drone.
  • Update and calibrate in DJI Fly. Update the drone and controller firmware at home, and calibrate the compass if the app asks.
  • Wait for a strong GPS signal. Check the signal before take-off, so Return to Home knows where to come back to.
  • Keep obstacle sensing on, but do not rely on it. Thin wires and branches are still hard to detect, so fly slowly near them and keep the drone in sight.
  • Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance up to 12 m/s. On gusty days, stay low and close, and land early.
  • Register and insure before you fly. This is a micro drone, so get the UIN on Digital Sky and arrange third-party insurance before your first outdoor flight.
  • Let batteries cool before charging. After a flight, wait until the battery is no longer warm before you put it in the hub.

Warranty and HobiTech support

  • How to claim: use the warranty claim form or call/WhatsApp +91 70225 26509. We usually reply within one business day.
  • Extended 1-year and 2-year comprehensive warranties and an annual maintenance plan are available.
