Motion Fly More Combo or the Fly More Combo with RC-N3?
Both combos use the same DJI Neo and come with three batteries. The difference is how you fly:
- Motion Fly More Combo (this page): you wear the DJI Goggles N3 and steer with the DJI RC Motion 3 by moving your hand. ₹74,990 plus GST.
- Fly More Combo with RC-N3: a DJI RC-N3 stick controller and your phone screen, with no goggles. ₹47,990 plus GST.
If you want to see the flight through goggles and steer by hand, choose the Motion combo. If you prefer sticks and a phone screen, the RC-N3 combo costs less.
Who the Neo Motion combo is for
- First-time pilots who want to try first-person flying and steer by moving a hand, not sticks
- Vloggers and creators who want fly-through shots seen from the drone's point of view
- Travellers who want a 135 g drone plus goggles in one kit
- Buyers who may move to the DJI Neo 2 later, since the goggles and RC Motion 3 also work with it
Choose something else if you would rather fly with sticks and a phone (the DJI Neo Fly More Combo with RC-N3), or you need obstacle sensing in every direction (the DJI Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo has it).
Is it legal to fly in India?
Yes. At 135 g the DJI Neo is a nano drone (250 g or less) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:
- No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed to fly a nano drone (Rule 36).
- You must register it on the DGCA eGCA portal and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying (Rule 14).
- Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.
When you fly with goggles on, you cannot see the drone or the area around you directly. As good practice, we recommend flying with a friend beside you as a spotter.
Flying tips for the Neo Motion combo
From our Bengaluru service team, for the DJI Neo itself:
- Keep it close. The Neo is built for close-range shots, not long-distance flights. Its GPS is weaker than on larger DJI drones, and at 135 g it gets pushed around by wind.
- Charge gently. Use a lower-power charger rather than a high-wattage fast charger, to keep the batteries healthy for longer.
- Flying indoors? Pick a large, open, well-lit room. GPS is weak inside buildings, so the Neo holds position with its downward camera. Outdoors, wait for a strong GPS signal in the DJI Fly app before you take off.
For your first flights with the goggles (general good practice):
- Start slow. Take off, hover a few metres up and get used to the goggles view and the hand movements before you fly further. Keep the first flights short.
- Feeling dizzy? Some people do at first in goggles. Land, take the goggles off and rest. Short sessions help while you get used to it.
- Fly in the open, with a spotter. With goggles on you cannot see the drone directly, and the Neo only senses the ground below it, so it will not stop for obstacles ahead or to the side. Choose an open area away from people, trees and wires, and have a friend watch.
- Charge everything the night before. The goggles and the RC Motion 3 have their own batteries, as well as the three flight batteries.
