Palm-launch · FPV Motion

The DJI Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo is the DJI Neo 2 palm-sized drone with DJI Goggles N3 and the DJI RC Motion 3 for immersive first-person (FPV) flying, plus three batteries, a Two-Way Charging Hub, propeller guards and the DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver for O4 video transmission. The Neo 2 weighs 151 g (160 g with the transceiver fitted), per DJI, so in India it is a nano drone. It has a 1/2-inch camera sensor on a 2-axis gimbal, 4K/60fps video with 4K/100fps slow motion, omnidirectional obstacle sensing with forward-facing LiDAR, and 49 GB of built-in storage. Sold by HobiTech, a genuine DJI dealer in Bengaluru, with a GST invoice and HobiTech's own 1-year warranty on the drone.

Key features

  • Fly it from inside the drone: DJI Goggles N3 show a live 1080p/60fps view with latency as low as 54 ms, per DJI, and the RC Motion 3 steers the drone by the movement of your hand.
  • 151 g and palm-sized: 160 g with the Digital Transceiver fitted, per DJI, so it sits in India's nano class.
  • 4K/60fps and 4K/100fps slow motion: 4K/100fps is available when flying with motion control or a remote controller, which this combo includes.
  • 2-axis gimbal: mechanical tilt and roll stabilisation, plus RockSteady electronic stabilisation.
  • Omnidirectional obstacle sensing: vision sensing in every direction, forward-facing LiDAR and a downward infrared sensor, per DJI.
  • O4 video transmission up to 10 km: with the included Digital Transceiver (FCC, unobstructed and free of interference), against up to 500 m over Wi-Fi without it.
  • 49 GB built in: no memory card needed. The Neo 2 does not take a microSD card.
  • Three batteries and a hub: up to about 19 minutes per battery (about 17 with the propeller guards), per DJI.
  • Follow-me features for when you are not wearing the goggles: ActiveTrack, Spotlight, Point of Interest, QuickShots, MasterShots, Dolly Zoom, SelfieShot, gesture control and Return to Palm.

Who the Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo is for

  • First-time FPV flyers who want the goggles experience without learning stick-based acro flying
  • Travellers and families who want a tiny drone that also follows and films them
  • Anyone who wants to fly indoors or near people with full propeller guards fitted

Choose something else if you do not want goggles (the DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo), you want a bigger 1/1.3-inch sensor and a true Manual (acro) mode (the DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo), or you want the lowest price for goggles flying (the DJI Neo Motion Fly More Combo).

Is it legal to fly in India?

Yes. At 151 g (160 g with the Digital Transceiver), per DJI, the DJI Neo 2 is a nano drone (250 g or less) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:

  • No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed to fly a nano drone (Rule 36).
  • You must register it on the DGCA eGCA portal and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying (Rule 14).
  • Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.

Rules can change, so check DGCA's eGCA portal and the airspace map before you fly.

Flying tips for the DJI Neo 2 with goggles

HobiTech's tips for your first flights (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual):

  • Fly with a spotter. With goggles on you cannot see the drone directly, so ask a friend to keep it in sight and warn you about people, trees and wires.
  • Start in a big open space. Get used to the RC Motion 3 in Normal mode, low and slow, before trying Sport mode.
  • Keep the propeller guards on near people and indoors. DJI rates flight time at about 17 minutes with the guards fitted.
  • Fit the Digital Transceiver for longer flights. Without it, the Neo 2 uses Wi-Fi, rated up to 500 m.
  • Charge all three the night before. Use a charger of at least 45 W so the hub charges all three batteries at once.
  • Update everything in DJI Fly. Update the drone, goggles and RC Motion 3 firmware at home before your first flight.
  • Keep obstacle sensing on, but do not rely on it. The vision sensors need texture and light, so fly slowly at dusk and near thin branches and wires.
  • Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s, but a 151 g drone is still pushed around by gusts; stay low and close on windy days.
  • Register before you fly. Get the UIN on DGCA's eGCA portal before your first outdoor flight, and check the airspace map every time you fly somewhere new.
  • Take breaks from the goggles. Short sessions are easier on your eyes, and each battery lasts under 20 minutes anyway.

Warranty and HobiTech support

  • 1-Year Premium Warranty from HobiTech, included free, on the DJI Neo 2 drone. It covers manufacturing defects; motor, gimbal and mechanical failures; flight controller, sensor and GPS faults; and battery and power faults under normal use.

  • How to claim: use the warranty claim form or call/WhatsApp +91 70225 26509. We usually reply within one business day.
  • Extended 1-year and 2-year comprehensive warranties and an annual maintenance plan are available.
