DJI Lito 1 or DJI Lito X1?
Both drones share the same basics: up to 36 minutes of flight time, wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s and 5-lux omnidirectional obstacle sensing. The DJI Lito X1 adds:
- A larger 1/1.3-inch 48 MP sensor with a brighter f/1.7 aperture.
- Forward-facing LiDAR on top of the vision sensors.
- 42 GB of internal storage, so you can fly without a memory card.
The DJI Lito 1 is ₹54,990 plus GST. The DJI Lito X1 is ₹67,990 plus GST. If you mainly want safe, easy flying and good 4K video, the Lito 1 is enough. If image quality is your priority, choose the Lito X1.
Standard kit or Fly More Combo?
This page is the standard kit, with one battery. The DJI Lito 1 Fly More Combo (DJI RC-N3) uses the same drone and controller, and adds:
- Three Intelligent Flight Batteries in total, instead of one
- A battery charging hub
- A shoulder bag
The combo is ₹63,990 plus GST. Choose it if you want longer sessions without waiting to recharge. See the combo page for the full contents.
Who the DJI Lito 1 is for
- First-time pilots who want obstacle sensing in every direction
- Travellers who want a small drone with a stick controller
- Creators who shoot for social media and want vertical video and tracking modes
- Anyone who wants to fly in India without a Remote Pilot Certificate
Choose something else if you want a larger sensor and built-in storage (the DJI Lito X1), or you want to fly first-person with goggles (the DJI Neo Motion Fly More Combo).
Is it legal to fly in India?
Yes. At 249 g maximum take-off mass (per DJI), the DJI Lito 1 is a nano drone (250 g or less) under India's Drone Rules, 2021:
- No Remote Pilot Certificate is needed to fly a nano drone (Rule 36).
- You must register it on the DGCA eGCA portal and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying (Rule 14).
- Before each flight, check the Digital Sky airspace map for green, yellow and red zones.
Flying tips for the DJI Lito 1
HobiTech's tips for your first flights (general good practice; always follow the DJI user manual):
- Insert a microSD card first. The Lito 1 has no internal storage, so without a card it cannot save your photos or video.
- Update and calibrate in DJI Fly. Update the drone and controller firmware at home, and calibrate the compass if the app asks.
- Wait for a strong GPS signal. Check the signal in DJI Fly before take-off, so Advanced Return to Home knows where to come back to.
- Keep obstacle sensing on, but do not rely on it. DJI rates it down to 5 lux. At dusk or in poor light, fly slowly and keep the drone in sight.
- Check the wind. DJI rates wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s. On gusty days, stay low and close, and land early.
- Register before you fly. Get the UIN on DGCA's eGCA portal before your first outdoor flight, and check the airspace map every time you fly somewhere new.
- Format the card in DJI Fly. Format a new microSD card in the app before your first flight, and copy your files off before formatting it again.
- Land with charge to spare. Plan to be back and landed well before the battery runs low. Return to Home needs power to fly back, especially into a headwind.
- Check the propellers every time. Replace any propeller that is chipped, bent or cracked. Spare propellers come in the box.
- Use ActiveTrack in open spaces. Start tracking in a wide, open area away from trees, wires and people, and keep the drone in sight while it follows you.
- Let batteries cool before charging. After a flight, wait until the battery is no longer warm before you charge it, and avoid leaving batteries in a hot car.
