What you need to fly an Agras drone in India

  • Registration: register the drone on the DGCA Digital Sky platform and get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) before flying.
  • Pilot licence: the pilot needs a Remote Pilot Certificate for the drone's weight class (medium for the T70P, large for the T100).
  • Insurance: third-party insurance is required.
  • Spraying rules: follow the Government of India's standard operating procedure for drone application of pesticides, using products approved for drone use.
  • Airspace: check the Digital Sky map for green, yellow and red zones before each flight.

Rules for agricultural drones are updated from time to time, so check the current requirements with us or on Digital Sky before you fly.

DJI Agras FAQs

What is the price of DJI Agras drones in India?

Both the Agras T100 and the Agras T70P are priced on request, because the price depends on the systems, batteries and charging you choose. We send a quote with a GST invoice.

Which Agras is right for my farm?

The T100 suits large acreages and heavier spreading or lifting work, with a 100 L tank and 100 kg lifting. The T70P is lighter, with a 70 L tank and 65 kg lifting, and falls in the medium weight class. Share your crops, acreage and terrain and we will recommend one.

Can Agras drones spread fertiliser and seed?

Yes. With DJI's Spreading System 4.0 both spread up to 400 kg/min of compound fertiliser over a 3–10 m width, from a 150 L tank on the T100 and a 100 L tank on the T70P, per DJI.

Do I need a licence to fly a DJI Agras drone in India?

Yes. The drone must be registered on Digital Sky with a UIN, the pilot needs a Remote Pilot Certificate for its weight class, and third-party insurance is required. Pesticide spraying must also follow the government SOP for drone application of pesticides.

What weather can Agras drones fly in?

DJI rates both models for 0 °C to 40 °C with wind resistance below 6 m/s. Early-morning flights reduce evaporation and drift.

How do Agras drones avoid obstacles?

The T100 combines laser radar, front, downward and rear radar and a quad vision system. The T70P uses front and rear millimetre-wave radar and tri-eye vision. Both measure obstacles up to 60 m away, per DJI.

What is the lead time?

Agras drones are built to order. We confirm the lead time with your quote.

What warranty and support do I get?

HobiTech's own 1-year warranty on the drone, a GST invoice on every order, operator onboarding and service from our in-house repair lab in Bengaluru. Extended warranties and an annual maintenance plan are available.

Do you help with pilot training?

Yes. We can advise on DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Certificate training for your team.
