DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo

₹1,25,990₹1,49,999

The sub-250g 1-inch-sensor Mini 5 Pro in the complete Fly More kit — DJI RC 2, three Battery Plus packs, ND filters, charging hub and shoulder bag for longer days out.

DJI Mini 5 Pro vs DJI Mini 4 Pro

Both stay under 249 g and both keep you outside DGCA registration for personal flying. The Mini 5 Pro is the first Mini to carry a 1-inch sensor, and that is the headline.

A 1-inch sensor in a sub-250 g airframe is the thing people have been asking DJI for. It is a genuine step in low light, and the adjustable aperture means you control depth and exposure rather than relying on shutter speed alone. The included ND set matters more than it sounds — it is what lets you hold a cinematic shutter in daylight.

Forward LiDAR extends obstacle sensing into low light, where vision-only systems go blind. Level 6 wind resistance and 47 minutes on Battery Plus make it the more capable aircraft in poor conditions.

The Mini 4 Pro remains excellent and is ₹35,000 cheaper. Choose the Mini 5 Pro if image quality in difficult light is what you are paying for; choose the Mini 4 Pro if it is not.

Flying the DJI Mini 5 Pro legally in India

At under 249 g takeoff weight, the Mini 5 Pro falls into DGCA’s Nano category (drones under 250 g) under the Drone Rules, 2021 — despite carrying a 1-inch sensor.

Nano-category drones flown for personal, non-commercial use are exempt from UIN registration on eGCA and do not require a Remote Pilot Certificate. That is the lightest regulatory category India offers. Fly commercially and those exemptions no longer apply: registration and certification are required as for any working aircraft.

Exemption from registration is not exemption from airspace rules. Green, yellow and red zones still apply — roughly 90% of the country is green, yellow zones near airports need coordination, and red zones are off-limits. Check DigitalSky for your location before you travel to a shoot.

Keep the aircraft within visual line of sight, avoid flying over crowds, and stay clear of airports, military installations and international borders.

About the DJI Mini 5 Pro

A 1-inch sensor under 249 grams

This is the reason the aircraft exists. A 1-inch sensor gathers substantially more light than the 1/1.3" chips in earlier Minis, which shows in shadow detail, in noise at dusk, and in how far you can push a grade. Doing it inside a sub-250 g airframe is the engineering achievement — you get near Air-class imaging without crossing the registration threshold.

Adjustable aperture and ND filters

Most Minis have a fixed aperture, so exposure control means changing shutter speed, which changes how motion looks. An adjustable aperture plus the included ND8/32/128 set lets you hold a 1/50 shutter in bright sun and keep motion looking natural rather than strobed.

Forward LiDAR

Omnidirectional vision sensing plus a forward LiDAR unit. Vision systems need light to see; LiDAR does not. That keeps obstacle detection working at dusk and after dark, which is exactly when a vision-only drone becomes something you fly nervously.

225° of gimbal rotation

Far more range than the usual Mini gimbal, including true vertical framing and steep upward angles. Practical for architecture, interiors and anything shot for a phone screen.

Forty-seven minutes, and 46 GB on board

Up to 47 minutes per Battery Plus, three of them in the combo. Around 46 GB of internal storage means a forgotten microSD card no longer ends the shoot — though at 4K/120 you will still want one.

What’s in the Fly More Combo

Mini 5 Pro, DJI RC 2 controller with built-in screen, ND filter set, three Intelligent Flight Battery Plus packs, two-way charging hub, storage cover, three pairs of spare propellers, shoulder bag and USB-C cable. Genuinely complete — there is nothing you need to add.

More questions about the DJI Mini 5 Pro

What is the price of the DJI Mini 5 Pro in India?

The Fly More Combo is ₹1,24,990 at Hobitech, down from ₹1,49,999. GST invoice and warranty included.

Do I need to register the DJI Mini 5 Pro with DGCA?

Not for personal use. Under 249 g it is Nano category, exempt from UIN registration and from needing a Remote Pilot Certificate. Commercial flying is different — those exemptions do not apply.

Is a 1-inch sensor really worth the upgrade from the Mini 4 Pro?

If you shoot in difficult light — dawn, dusk, interiors — or you grade your footage, yes, clearly. If you shoot in good daylight and publish straight from the card, the Mini 4 Pro gets you most of the way for ₹35,000 less.

How long does it fly?

About 34 minutes on a standard battery and up to 47 with Battery Plus. The combo ships three Battery Plus packs.

Does it have internal storage?

Around 46 GB, which is unusual for a Mini. A microSD card is still worth carrying for longer shoots.

What does the forward LiDAR do?

It measures distance using laser rather than vision, so obstacle sensing keeps working in low light where camera-based systems stop being reliable.

Can it handle wind?

Level 6 — better than any previous Mini. Still a sub-250 g aircraft, so treat coastal and ridge conditions with respect.

Are ND filters included?

Yes, ND8, ND32 and ND128. Buying these separately would normally be an extra purchase.
